The University of Wisconsin-Madison library holds one of the few copies of the 1732 book "Olympia". We recently received a message from the Special Collections department about its provenance.

Their answer summarized:

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘪𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯", 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘙. 𝘑. 𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘦𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘯, 𝘢 𝘋𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘙𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 18𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 19𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘯 1867 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘯-𝘔𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘓𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 1959.

This answer also raises questions. One of those questions is: How and when did the collection (including the book "Olympia") reach the US?

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 “𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚” 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭?

To find the answer, we're looking for the descendants of Carolina Louisa Albertina van der Meulen (1803-1891) and Niels Otto Tank (1800-1864). Place of residence: Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States.

Perhaps they have the answer to these questions.

The book "Olympia" was originally written in "Neder-Duits", a language form that is not always easy to understand. Especially for people outside the Dutch language area, the work is almost inaccessible.
