Each copy tells its own unique story, but we suspect we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.
There are likely more copies in private collectionsโperhaps forgotten in an attic or cherished on a bookshelf. We are incredibly curious about the provenance and history of these specific books. Where did they come from? And what journey have they been on?

We're making significant headway in uncovering the fascinating story of the book "Olympia" and its impact in the USA. The broader picture is coming into focus, but as with any deep research, a few intriguing "loose ends" remain.
The key question we want to answer is an interesting one: to what extent did the book "Olympia" actually influence the development of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee?
Today felt like a step forward. We just received two promising new books that we hope hold the missing pieces to this historical puzzle. The investigation continues, and we'll keep you posted on our findings!

A year and a half ago, I launched #forgotteninolympia with a clear mission: to give Theodorus Antonides and his remarkable book 'Olympia' the permanent place in Olympic history they deserve.
It's been a journey of extensive research, building the website (www.olympia.co.nl), connecting with fascinating people and above all, a massive personal learning curve.
For the past six months, I've been fortunate to be joined by a fantastic 'partner in crime': Jurien van den Broek.
Together, we are pushing #forgotteninolympia forward.

Last week, we hit a milestone that genuinely surprised us:
Almost ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ฌ unique visitors to our website in just ๐ณ days.
The most remarkable part? The majority of these visitors came from China, Japan, and the USA.
We never could have imagined that this 'forgotten' Dutch story would strike such an international chord. It gives us incredible energy to keep going.
